It’s so easy to subscribe to Substack. You get a notice every time your favorite writers post an article. Amazing!
However, my email account is bombarded by waaaayyyy too many messages.
Don’t be offended! I can still find my favorite authors. But I need to unsubscribe.
Where is the Unsubscribe button? I had to search for the answer.
To unsubscribe from a Substack publication, follow these steps:
Navigate to your Substack account Settings page via www.substack.com/settings.
Under Subscriptions, click on the publication you'd like to unsubscribe from.
In the Notifications section, click on "Unsubscribe."
Note: If it's a paid subscription, look for the text that says "To cancel your paid subscription, click here."
After doing that, I realized I was being redirected to an account page.
Every author has an account page you can access with a link!
Just add /account after any substack address.
For instance, my unsubscribe button can be found in the Notifications section at https://sbouyer.substack.com/account.
Authors, please consider adding a handy link that allows folks to unsubscribe. Go to your settings page to add or remove items from the navigation bar.
